My RPGs
In this section you find a collection of my RPG stuff. The Old West setting/rules supplement for Ubiquity, including some adventures, Space 1889 Ubiquity resources and First Law, my spin on the Joe Abercrombie’s Circle of the World, using …, surprise, Ubiquity!
Other RPG games include S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Tales from the Emerald Empire - a rules-lite game of Asian fantasy! More to come...
My games and resources
OLD WEST - Ubiquity
Since I started playing RPGs I yearned for a good game with one of my favorite themes, the Old West! There were many supplements to existing games like GURPS Old West or Western Hero, but I never was quite satisfyed with mechanisms or setting portrayal. So I wrote my own stuff using rules that I liked (d6, Fuzion), yet, it never became quite what I was looking for.
Then, a couple of years ago I discovered Hollow Earth Expedition with its fantastic Ubiquity system. I whipped out my old Wild West stuff faster than a sixgun and build a Western supplement after my taste! A couple of adventures followed soon...
Check out the results in the Old West page.
FIRST LAW - Ubiquity
This is my take on Joe Abercrombie's Cycle of the World as presented in his First Law trilogy and following books. A world in a kind of renaissance with waining magic, as technology and inventions are on the rise. My game is set a couple of years after the story of Red Country. First Law RPG does not follow the new "A little hatred"-storyline, as the first book of the new trilogy wasn't published when I started to write the game.
Tales from the Emerald Empire - Magistrate Matsu
Tales from the Emerald Empire - Magistrate Matsu is an Asian adventure/campaign/rules-light storytelling RPG. The game is based in John Harper's fine Lady Blackbird RPG, using the same mechanics, but is set in a pseudo-japanese setting called Seppun. Seppun is a blatant blend of L5R Rogukan and a feudal Japanese version of the Galactic Empire.
Pre-made characters and an open-to-player/GM development-on-the-go, Magistrate Matsu requires almost no preparation.
SPACE 1889 - Ubiquity
Space 1889 has long been a favorite RPG setting of mine. I used home-brew Savage Worlds rules (not the Red Sands book which came out later) for a smuggler/soldier-of-fortune-on-Mars campaign. Much of the collected stuff here is a result of that campaign.
When the Ubiquity version by Uhrwerk Verlag/Clockwork Publishing came out, I happily adoped this new version. Did I mention that I am a great fan of the Ubiquity system?
Funfact: I had the honor to write some small articles for the Space 1889 soucebook "Edisons Enzyclopædie", the parts about cloudships, zeppelins and aerial flyers, as well as some inventions.
Metro 2033
The Metro 2033 books and games are perfect for post-apocalyptic roleplaying. Here you find a rules supplement to use with Shadowrun 4E for playing in Glukhovsky's gritty underground world. The supplement contains adjusted skills and qualities, a karma based character generation, special setting rules and loads of equipment.
Read about Prospect Mira station, starting point for my campaign of Metro of 2033.
Die Neue Welt
Die Neue Welt is a German project of mine. Roleplaying in a earth-like world at the beginning of the Age of Discovery.
The setting mixes late Renaissance, early Age of Piracy, Conquistadores, religious conflict, witches, elementarist and the inhabitants of the newly discovered lands in the West.
The rules are simplified Shadowrun, mixed with some concepts of Shadowrun Anarchy. The base mechanics are taken from the 4th Edition, which is useful to have knowledge of at hand, as I presume a basic knowledge of SR4.
If you understand German and are curious about a dirty Swashbuckling setting, take a look.

I.O.P.S. - Ratcatchers
A Troubleshooters Expansion
The Troubleshooters by written by Krister Sundelin and published by Swedish Helmgast is an action-adventure tabletop roleplaying game set in an exciting and adventurous version of the 1960s in the style of Franco-Belgian comics. If you think that sounds fun, go and check it out! The artwork is superb, the setting fun, the percentile system simple, fast and with a twist!
The Ratcatcher expansion is inspired by Tintin/Lovecraft crossover covers, Pulp Cthulhu, Hellboy comics and more. The Ratcatchers are agents of the I.O.P.S. (International Organization for Paranormal Security) investigating and fighting paranormal threats instead of the criminal Octopus. Naturally, in such a setting not all Troubleshooters are necessarily human.
If fighting ghosts, eldrich horrors and mythical monsters Spirou-and-Fantasio style sounds fun to you, hit the button below!
